This is a "story" I haven't heard before...note not an AP report:

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- With so many rumors and theories coming out of Aruba, including one that places Natalee Holloway and Gottfried Van Cromvoirt near each other the night Holloway disappeared, Holloway's parents spoke out on Tuesday to try to clarify the specifics.
Holloway's father, Dave Holloway, has hired an attorney to help the family try to separate fact from rumor after almost 11 months of trying to unravel the mystery of her disappearance.
Dave Holloway said facts are still rare, especially concerning 19-year-old Van Cromvoirt.
"Down there, they don't really tell you a lot," Holloway said. "Because they don't want it out. It's kind of frustrating."
Holloway does not know if Van Cromvoirt is being held because he is actually involved in Natalee's disappearance or because he just might have information about who was involved.
"We heard rumors (Tuesday) there may be some other arrests," Holloway said.
One theory about Van Cromvoirt's involvement comes from reports that Joran van der Sloot told police that as he, Natalee and the Kalpoe brothers drove away from Carlos and Charlie's the night she vanished, they pulled alongside another car and drove side-by-side for a distance with the people in the vehicles talking back and forth. The people in the second vehicle have never been identified.
Natalee's mother, Beth Twitty, said she is hearing another story.

if it matters (gosh I'm sleepy)...it was the Republican Execu Committee office of GA in the gov campaign and we also had local candidates for State Rep and State Sen.
These people like to appear to "know" their constituents as they are glad-handing them, especially the big contributors, lots of ego-stroking going on ya know (when will the public learn these guys are faking it?) oh well, that's where and why.

It's not a bible, silly. It's a genuine plastic statuette of Beth seated in a manger with baby Natalee in her arms. It's hollow so it can be used as a lovely inspirational nightlight (bulb not included).

It's nice to see you. Your stitches came out okay, I take it. One of my co-workers went in for some routine dental work a week ago, and they had to do an emergency root canal. He came back to work yesterday morning with bruises all over the right side of his face and a black eye. He said his wife did it because of the laundry.

I've been wondering why so many have mentioned that GvC has been crying? I would think that would be normal no??? I was actually surprised that Joran wasn't more emotional when arrested...but figured it was possibly because he might have known more about the legal system from his dad's position.
At that age (geeez...even at my age) I would be freaked if I was in either of their shoes, innocent or guilty.

the new developments in the case may lead to a resolution to the case. What will happen to this thread...good question...Dans blog is bigger than just this test blog. I am sure there are other blogs that offer the same thing. Will people be happy with the outcome of this case..I think the answer will be no for some...maybe for others...and yes for a few. It is quite addictive isn't it? Sometimes I feel it's a waste of time but on the other hand I learned a lot and these blogs gave me something for reflection.
I do hope this case is over soon but no matter the outcome, it will not make me happy. Because this is a tragedy for so many people involved.
My expectation is this thread will stop very soon after the case is solved. Don't know when that will be....

All I know is what I have read here.
GvC is detained for 8 days on suspicion of murder and drug related charges Whether this is actually true or conjecture...who knows.
I feel that there may be an effort to tie in GvC with Joran and company..But then it may turn out that way...whether it ties into the case somehow again is conjecture.
We may be looking at something totally separate of the current case surrounding Joran and the two brothers.
I have ran out of all my jumping to conclusions long ago...Will wait for the ALE to come forth with the info...whenever that may be.

pea38, I just really believe Joran and J2k were out of the loop about what happened to Natalee after they last saw her. That's why they were never "broken" by ALE while they were in jail. I know one thing, if this case does get solved and J2K didn't have anything to do with Natalee's disappearance, I sure hope they all sue the stuffing and $$$ out of ALE and HMI!!

Frankly, I wouldn't cross the street to piss on Beth's head if her hair were on fire.
One reason is I never see her making any sort of sincere action of apology. I can see her with a petulant "SAAAAWWWWRRRY" like a three-year-old would do. I see her not making any kind of restitution toward anyone; she will just say "if J didn't lie, you know, thirty ten times, I would not have assumed that he gangraped and murdered my daughter while she was going in and out of consciousness. Because you know he really did..."
If she made an honest mistake and offered a sincere apology, that would be different. But the same story over and over, ad nauseaum, is NOT a mistake. And she won't apologize for it.
